Meminis, a Latin verb that can be translated as “not to forget” or “to remember” or “to keep in mind”, perfectly sums up the will of its creators. “Paying homage to the deceased person by creating a memorial link with the invisible, a sensitive inspiration that sets new codes and embodies a strong and lasting symbolic impact.<\/p>\n

This idea sprang up when Meminis observed that existing funeral urns are all very similar. Meminis’ approach is radically different from what exists on the market. Above all, it is about designing and producing original products 100 % Made in France.<\/p>\n

Art has long been essentially religious and sacred. A funerary object\u2019s aesthetics represent a tribute to the deceased and to their memory, while expressing a form of transcendence specific to art.<\/p>\n

The funerary object has a strong symbolic charge, religious symbolism, or visual language expressing a link with the afterlife. The funerary object acts as a medium for memory, accompanying families in the ritual.<\/p>\n

The Meminis team first and foremost loves well done work with a history that goes back thousands of years, as well as craft traditions in the noble sense of the word.<\/p>\n

The Meminis team consists of two brothers, one, Vilvan, is the entrepreneur at the origin of the project, and the other brother, Matthieu, worked for a long time in a famous Parisian haute couture house as a designer. During this time, he acquired an immoderate taste for the high standards and spirit of excellence that characterize the world of haute couture, and an aesthetic approach that can be found in Meminis products.<\/p>\n

Finding the best to make the best. From the urn in pure Limoges porcelain, made and refined by hand by a talented craftsman, to the metal closure system developed in the Ile-de-France region, to the skating and assembly of the piece ensured in the Lyon region, our products are the object of close attention and are made with love.
